Meet The Doctors
Dr. David Newsome
A 1982 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He began his career practicing in Michigan before relocating to Oklahoma in 1985, where he established The Visiting Veterinarian, a mobile veterinary service dedicated to providing compassionate and convenient care for pets in their own homes. With decades of experience in the field, Dr. Newsome is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of animals while building trusted relationships with their owners.
Outside of his veterinary practice, Dr. Newsome enjoys spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, cherishing the moments they share together.
Dr. Heather Cobb
Received her Bachelors degree in 1980, and her D.V.M in 1985, both from Oklahoma State University. She loves ALL OSU sports and is a sports fanatic!
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Cobb enjoys playing volleyball and pickleball. She has a daughter, Ashley, and 2 precious grandchildren.
Dr. Derek Newsome
Earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) from Oklahoma State University in 2024. He is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, with particular interests in internal medicine, dermatology, and behavioral medicine.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Newsome enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter. Whether it's gardening, playing at the park, or simply embracing whatever the day brings, he values the time spent with his family and the joy it brings to his life.
